By providing BIM data (Building Information Modeling), HOMA supports planners, engineering offices and specialist partners in their project planning. BIM enables the automatic detection of clashes with pipelines, cable routes or other building services – even before construction begins. Performance data such as pump curves or energy consumption can also be directly integrated into calculations.
BIM is more than just a 3D representation. It is a structured digital method used for the realistic planning, simulation and coordination of building services engineering as well as infrastructure and wastewater projects. Unlike traditional 2D drawings, BIM data includes not only geometry but also technical properties, performance parameters and commercial information, such as head, flow rate, power consumption, connection dimensions, materials or energy efficiency values.
“With the integration of our products into the BIM portal, we are taking another step towards digitalization and closer customer collaboration,” explains Alexander Vogel, Head of Technical Documentation. “Our goal is to provide our partners with practical tools that make their daily work easier.”
In the first step, the BIM portal includes models of pumps and lifting stations for building services applications. The range will be gradually expanded so that additional product series from the wastewater sector will also be available as BIM data in the future.
The BIM portal is now accessible via the HOMA website.
