Contractor Pump

Construction Site Dewatering Pump

A Construction Site Dewatering Pump, also known as a Contractor Pump, is designed for challenging applications such as draining abrasive wastewater containing coarse sand, mud, and other contaminants commonly found on construction sites. These pumps face significant wear due to the abrasive particles in the water, which can cause damage to components like the impeller and motor shaft, leading to frequent maintenance and costly part replacements.

To address these challenges, construction site pumps are engineered for durability and consistent performance, even when handling abrasive fluids. The motor is protected by a mechanical shaft seal and a double-acting mechanical seal housed in an oil bath to prevent wear. Additionally, the outer motor cooling jacket prevents the motor from overheating, ensuring reliable operation in conditions, where only partially submerged. These pumps can handle wastewater temperatures up to 40°C with ease, making them highly versatile for various construction site conditions.

A quick and easy hose connection is made possible with the STORZ quick coupling. Some variants also feature automatic water-level-dependent control for automatic operation.

The impeller, pump casing, and diffuser are required to be from wear-resistant materials, further enhancing the pump’s lifespan and making it a reliable and robust choice for demanding dewatering tasks on construction sites.
