The cultivation of microalgae places special demands on pump technology. Dry-installed semi-axial pumps with standard motors are preferred for continuous water circulation, as they ensure a stable flow rate. HOMA submersible motor pumps from the MXS and KX series are used to extract seawater. These are installed in deep shafts and achieve delivery rates of up to 5000 m³/h. These models are also available in seawater-resistant stainless steel and are characterised by high corrosion resistance and efficiency. For particularly large delivery rates of up to 8000 m³/h, the propeller pumps of the P series offer the right solution – reliable in continuous operation and ideal for use in maritime environments.
