has been working since 2006 as a commercial administrator in the Export Department, and since 2011 has been the customer contact executive for the region Near East and Africa. He was always interested in other countries and cultures. In 1995 he attended the high school in New Hampshire, USA for a year and, after attending the high school, he completed an equivalent of his German community service in Uruguay, South America. Within HOMA Pumpenfabrik, he particularly appreciates the family-style working climate and the contact with customers worldwide.
Even if my main seems to be sales, the day-to-day activities in my job have more to do with producing project specifications and the co-ordination between construction companies, planning engineers and our internal departments for technology and production. There is hardly a project that is like another, but it is precisely this factor which makes things attractive. When I am on business journeys at particular locations, I need to convince water authorities, architects' practices and construction companies about our products. Our aim is to build up a long-term strategic arrangement with a well-connected distributor in the different markets. In order to achieve this, we are constantly presenting our company and products at foreign trade fairs.
When customers need to accept products in our factory, they are always amazed how well a medium-sized family company is organised - from its production to the administration. Up-to-date testing mechanisms and a thorough quality management result in the highest quality for our products.
My visit to the Sheikh Zayed mosque in Abu Dhabi was impressive, and especially knowing that HOMA pumps are operating there. Even in terms of its size, the mosque is amazingly impressive. It has a capacity for a congregation of 40,000, and possesses the world's largest cupola for a mosque.
