Stainless Steel Pumps Series CTP for Wastewater from Brewery
NRW | Germany

In the food and beverage industry, pumps are often confronted with corrosive and chemically aggressive wastewater. Simple pumps made of cast iron cannot withstand these media in the long term.

The brewery was looking for a durable and reliable wastewater pump that was resistant to a chemically aggressive pumping medium with strongly fluctuating pH values of 2 - 12. The pump should not be a special version and should be produced by the manufacturer in large quantities.

Problem:
For our customer, wastewater treatment is crucial for the operation of the brewery. A failure of the wastewater pumping station can lead to a production stop and uncontrolled effluents can result in high fines from the regulatory authorities.
In both cases, this is accompanied by considerable financial damage. The functionality and reliability of the pumps are therefore of vital importance.
For the same reason, it is important that the old pumps can be replaced very fast and easy without any special rebuilding of the station.

Solution:
Based on its experience with brewery wastewater, HOMA has recommended the use of 2 Stainless steel CTP50 submersible watewater pump. The pump is made of highgrade, casted stainless steel and can withstand aggressive wastewater with strongly fluctuating pH values of 2-12 without corroding. With an adapter, the pump can be easily coupled to all discharge connection from other manufacturers. This means that the operator can quickly replace any brand with a durable stainless-steel pump from HOMA and guarantee long-lasting and reliable wastewater disposal.
