In addition to the German market, we are increasingly active on the international scene. On a global scale, HOMA pumps are in use in over 100  countries in all five continents. For example, in Hong King the underground rail network was expanded to the outer suburbs. The dewatering of the stations depends on HOMA pumps. In the Colombian city of Cartagena, its whole area was provided with a new system of sewers in one fell swoop. Now, the waste water all flows into one large installation: HOMA supplies the submersible pumps. In Dubai "The Palm Jumeirah", an artificial residential island in the shape of a palm tree was constructed. For the first 350 apartments, we supplied 350 pumps for removing the waste water. In London, our Sanistar Lifting Pump systems provided the waste water removal for 600 WC cabins that had been put up for a major international sports event.

Waste water and sewage systems

Initial situation

Mauritius is an island nation in the south west of the Indian Ocean approximately 870 kilometres east of Madagascar. The beautiful One&Only Resort is located on the main island of Mauritius, whose capital is Port Louis. After a nine-month complete renovation, it now meets the highest of standards. There are plenty of reasons why One&Only Resorts is one of the world’s five leading hotel brands and is the epitome of exclusive luxury. To enable its holidaymakers to enjoy the beautiful beaches, palm trees and this unique oasis of wellbeing, the operator and project consultancy for reliable waste water disposal opted for HOMA.

Various combined approaches

Fault-free waste water disposal is not only important for smooth infrastructure, but is also a key part of environmental management in order to sustainably preserve this unique natural paradise.

There are now a total of six MXS pumps with upstream ASC system working reliably on site. These pumps are fitted with newly designed EffTec motor generation and high efficiency hydraulics to prevent solids clogging up the cooling jacket, thereby virtually eliminating blockages. The motor is cooled with the patented PermaCool system, which forces some of the medium around the motor, triggering cooling.

The ASC cutter system ensures additional reliability and is ideal for breaking up solids when flow rates are high.

Four GRP36 D units have been installed for pressure drainage. The GRP is our bestseller and has been popular on the market for decades. It is equipped with the Barracuda cutter system, one of the best in the world. The pumps are controlled via our own PCM control system.
