High profile visit to HOMA by Economics Minister Pinkwart

Press release

Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, NRW Minister for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitisation and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, visited our Neunkirchen-Seelscheid plant today.

Born here

Probably the minister did not need a navigation system to find us, because, as he revealed in his short speech, he was not born a stone's throw away in Berg-Seelscheid. During a detailed tour through the production and administration of the entire HOMA plant, Mr. Pinkwart had the opportunity for a short personal talk. Interested, he looked over the shoulders of our employees in pump production. He was able to observe how our innovative work processes are implemented at the Neunkirchen-Seelscheid site. From planning and production to worldwide shipping, everything is done from a single source.

Informative and entertaining speech in front of the workforce

At the end of the tour, Prof. Pinkwart was particularly impressed by our new production hall, which is in the final stages of completion. A part of the staff was already waiting here to follow his short speech.

Previously, our managing director Dr. Klaus Hoffmann took the opportunity to explain our innovative EffTec pump model to Mr. Pinkwart. Mr. Pinkwart took up this point in his speech and put three things in the foreground, which allow the economic development and the medium-sized business to remain competitive: Innovation, the location NRW and education. Pinkwart once again expressly praised the commitment to the Neunkirchen-Seelscheid location and the construction of the new production hall. He said that politicians are continuing to work on improving the infrastructure in order to further increase the attractiveness of rural areas. "Digitisation is the key - also for the future viability of rural areas", he emphasised.

The speech of the sympathetic minister was very well received by the staff and at the end Mr Pinkwart caused a general smile with regard to the summer heat when he said that he was annoyed not to have packed his swimming trunks after seeing our ultra-modern test basin with a capacity of 750m³ litres of water.
